Professor Phoebe Koundouri presented the European Research Council (ERC) Synergy Grant, the most prestigious funding of the EU Research Funding project, “Water Futures,” at this year’s BLUE PLANET conference. The project is dedicated to designing the next generation of urban drinking water systems and tries to answer the question: How should the world achieve the provisioning of high-quality water services in the future while facing severe climate, economic, and population pressures under deep uncertainty?
